| Thai Studies students must live in Payap University-provided dormitory housing near campus. Students studying in the Thai and Southeast Asian Studies program will stay in Payap's Paradornparp International House (see picture above). This is a three storey dormitory with airconditioned rooms, dining room, lounge room, wireless internet, laundromat and other services. Whenever possible, each overseas student will be assigned a room with a Thai student to facilitate language and cultural exchange. A meal plan of breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday will be included. Please note that in some cases students may not have a Thai roommate depending on availability.
Students who do not wish to live in the dormitory must submit a written request to the program at the time of their application. Married students and students living in already established family homes in Chiang Mai are exempt.
